Laser Engraving
This is the process of marking a material using heat through the process of strategically varying the duty cycle of a laser. This process allows you to transfer pixel images to a variety of materials that react to heat like leather, wood, glass, acrylic, aluminum, plastics and other materials. For this process, we use an Epilog Laser Engraver.
Rotary Carbide Engraving
This is the term used to describe engraving done with a rotating cutting tool in a motorized spindle. The tool or cutter, cuts into the surface of the material to a predetermined depth and produces a groove of the same shape and dimension of the cutter used. Rotary engraving can be performed on a wide variety of materials with plastics, brass and aluminum being the most common.
Diamond Engraving
This is a type of mechanical engraving which utilizes a bullet-point diamond graver to scratch precise lines and characters into a substrate. Usually brass and aluminum.
